Thanks to Instagram and Youtube, I have finally been introduced to the goodness that is Blinged Brushes. Blinged Brushes is a small business that is famous for its bespoke crystal-covered brushes. The brushes themselves are beautiful, making me almost too afraid to use them, but pretty things are meant to be used, right? The set I got is the Bring on the Bling 12-piece set, which consists of five face brushes and seven eye brushes. The handles are covered in beautiful Swarvoski iridescent crystals, and the brush part is pink with a white gradient ombre. The ferrules are a beautiful rose gold, although they are also available in silver.
Going over the brushes…
Here are the five face brushes: Large Powder Brush, Liquid & Cream Blush Brush, Contour Brush, Angled Cheek Brush, and Highlight Brush
F1-Large Powder Brush
Great for loose or pressed powder.
I use this for blush and highlighter.
I normally don’t use this one as I don’t contour, but I find its shape to be great for highlighter as well.
F2-Liquid and Cream Brush
This brush mainly goes unused as I have oily skin, which makes most liquid and cream products unusable for me. However, I find it good if I want to place highlighter precisely.
F4-Angled Cheek Brush
This is a good blush brush, and I use it for that purpose.
Moving onto the eye brushes…
I use this for single loose shadows, but also for palettes.
E6-Angled Liner & Brow Brush
I rarely use gel liner, but this would be a good brush to use. This is also good to use with brow pomades.
E1-Angled Blender Brush
Good for getting the outer corner of the eye
I use this mainly as a packing brush as I love my concealer brushes just a tad big bigger
Again, I mainly use this for palettes, but more to pat down color over the lid instead of smudge.
This is yet another brush I use for laying down color on top of my lid.
E2-Large Round Buffer Brush
I normally use this when I want a single color on the lid.
Overall, the brushes are of good quality-the brushes are soft, but not too soft, and the crystals hold steady-I’ve only had one single crystal fall out so far. The only thing I wish the set had was a fan brush for that subtle hit of highlighter and a brow brush.
